No, but we serve coffee and pastries from 9am every morning.
Is the restaurant wheelchair friendly?
Our York restaurant has limited accessibility, so please notify us in advance so we can accommodate you. We do have an accessible section with and accessible bathroom but capacity in this area is limited.
Where is your York restaurant located?
Swinegate, a five minute walk from the famous York Minster.
Do you offer outdoor dining?
Yes we offer outdoor dining at our York restaurant with covered heated terraces that are open all year round. Outdoor seating is very popular, so please request this when booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate your preference.
How can I make a reservation at Lucia?
Please make a reservation online. We do not accept bookings via telephone at our York restaurant.
Are walk-ins allowed? Can I just have a drink?
Yes, walk-ins are welcome, and you are more than welcome to join us for drinks. Availability for both food and drink is subject to space at the time of your visit.
Are you dog friendly?
While we love our four-legged friends, dogs are not permitted inside the restaurant. However, well-behaved dogs are welcome in our outdoor dining areas.
Do you allow children?
Yes, children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Please note that the last booking for parties including children under the age of 10 is at 4:45pm, and children are welcome in the restaurant until 6pm.
What type of cuisine do you offer?

Do you have vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options?
Yes, we have lots of vegetarian menus as well as a dedicated vegan menu and a dedicated gluten free menu.
Can I see your menus online?
Yes all of our menus are available to view online.
Do you have a dress code?
Guests are asked to dress for the occasion. We operate a smart casual dress code. Fashion Trainers are acceptable, however sports trainers and sportswear including tracksuits are not permitted. Flip flops and sliders are not permitted.
Do you serve cocktails?
Absolutely! We offer a full cocktail menu featuring both Italian classics and house specials.
Do you have a happy hour?
We have an aperitivo happy house every day between 3-5pm where you are served complimentary bruschetta with every Italian spritz cocktail you order.
Do you host cocktail-making classes or tastings?
In York we do, for a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 8 per group. Before 5pm on a Saturday. £35pp. You have your own personal bartender, choose two cocktails (signature / classics or one from each) of your choice for the class to be incorporated around. You are taught the basics of cocktail making before being put the test. We do require a dinner or lunch reservation alongside your masterclass.
Do you host private events or parties?
Yes, we can cater to a range of private events and parties from seated dining to canapé and drinks receptions. Our York restaurant has dedicated private areas that are well suited to a large range of events.
When is Bottomless Brunch available?
Bottomless Brunch is available all day except on Saturdays when it will only be available from 12 PM to 5 PM.
What are your festive opening hours?
During the festive season Lucia York will be open from 12pm-12am daily, excluding Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The patisserie will open from 9am as usual.
Do you cater for hen or stag parties?
Yes, we can accommodate a range of private events, including hen and stag parties. From seated dining to canapé and drinks receptions, our York restaurant offer dedicated private areas suitable for a wide variety of occasions.
Do I need to make a reservation for a large group?
We recommend making a reservation in advance for larger groups to ensure availability and the best possible experience. Please contact us directly to discuss group bookings.
Do you have car parking?
While we do not have our own car park, there is lots of parking close by. Monk Bar Car Park and Bootham Row Car Park are the most convenient options.
How long will we have our table for?
During busy periods your table will be booked for 1 hour 30 minutes for parties of up to 2; 1 hour 45 minutes for parties of up to 4; and 2 hours for parties of 5+. However, during quieter times this may be able to be extended.
Is there a service charge?
An optional 10% service charge will be added to your bill. All gratuities go to the team.
Can I cancel or modify my booking?
Yes, you can cancel or amend your booking. We kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible. Please refer to your confirmation email or contact us directly for any changes.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes, we cater for a wide range of dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Please inform your server of any allergies or dietary needs when ordering.
Can I bring my own cake?
